Privacy Policy
wrentrack is a rent tracker for landlords. This page explains what we keep about you and your tenants, in plain words. We only collect what the app needs to work.
What we collect from you
- Your name, and the email address or phone number you sign in with.
- If you sign in with Google, the name and email address Google shares with us. We do not see your Google password or anything else in your Google account.
- The things you type into the app: property and space names, rent amounts, due dates, payments, expenses and notes.
- Basic technical data such as your browser type and the time of each request, so we can fix bugs and block abuse.
What we keep about your tenants
When you add a tenant, you give us their name, phone number and lease details. Some owners also add a deposit, an Ejari number or uploaded documents. You are the one who decides what goes in. Please only add details you have the right to keep, and only what you need to run the tenancy.
We use tenant details for one thing only, which is showing them back to you and your team in the app. We never contact your tenants on our own and we never sell their details.
How we use it
We do not run ads. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models.
- To sign you in and keep your account safe.
- To show you your rent, dues, payments and reports.
- To send the sign-in codes you ask for, and the receipts and reminders you choose to send.
- To fix bugs and understand how the app is used.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of services to run the app. They only get what they need to do their job.
- Fly.io hosts the app servers.
- MongoDB Atlas stores the data.
- Google handles sign-in if you choose Continue with Google.
- Meta (WhatsApp) and an SMS provider deliver sign-in codes and messages to the phone numbers you give us.
- An email provider delivers sign-in emails and team invites.
Your team
If you invite a team member, they can see the properties you give them access to and do what you allow them to do, such as marking rent paid. You can remove them at any time from Settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data from the live app. Copies in backups are removed on the normal backup cycle.
Your choices
- Export your data to CSV from the app, any time.
- Ask us to correct or delete your data by writing to us at the address below.
- Remove a tenant or a team member yourself whenever you like.
Security
Data travels over HTTPS. Sign-in codes work once and expire in ten minutes. We limit who on our side can reach the database. No system is perfectly safe, so if we ever learn that your data was exposed, we will tell you.
Children
wrentrack is for adults who manage rental property. It is not meant for children.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
