Track landlord expenses and see your month at a glance

Knowing what you collected is only half the picture. To know what you actually earned, you also need to see what you spent. wrentrack keeps both side by side.

Log expenses where they belong

Repairs, cleaning and bills belong to a property, so that is where you log them. Add the amount, pick a type like maintenance, utility or cleaning, and you are done. There is no separate system to keep in sync.

See rent in and money out

The report shows the rent you collected, the money you spent and what is left over, month by month. Tap a month to see the detail, including how your expenses split by type.

  • Collected shows the rent that came in for the month.
  • Expenses shows what you spent on the property.
  • Net income shows what is left after expenses.

Download everything as CSV

Your records are yours. You can download them as a CSV file at any time, and the file opens in Excel or Google Sheets. That is handy for your accountant, for your own checks, or if you ever want to move somewhere else.

If you would like to try tracking in a spreadsheet first, grab our free rent tracker template, and it includes an expense sheet too.

What this is not

wrentrack is a tracker, not accounting or tax software. It will not file anything for you or tell you what you owe. Use the reports to stay organized, and ask an accountant about the rules where you live.

Common questions

Can I track expenses for each property separately?

Yes. Expenses are logged against the property they belong to, so each property has its own picture.

Can I export my records?

Yes. You can download everything as a CSV file that opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
